Forest View Farms

With access to miles of forest preserve trails, this farm has been connecting people and horses since the 1950s. Memory Lane Stables

Family owned and operated for over 50 years and only 10 minutes outside Chicago lives a beautiful horseback riding farm. They have trail rides, pony rides, pony parties, events, boarding, and lessons-including basic health care and how to saddle a horse. They are located at 8290 S Kean Ave, Willow Springs, IL 60480.

Freedom Woods

Family-owned for over 22 years and just minutes from Downtown Chicago, Freedom Woods has training programs for riders and therapy for horses. You will find they have a heated 80-stall barn, 1 large outdoor arena, 3 heated indoor arenas, 1 large round pen, Horse Gym treadmill, Horse Therapy, and grazing area, all close to a stretch of scenic forest preserve trail and more. Their viewing room also has Wifi and workstations. Their guests and horses are well accommodated here. With 4 excellent trainers, they can help beginners and more. 

In addition to traditional Chicago horseback riding, Freedom Woods also offers boarding for your equine friend. They will care for your horse just as their own. But one of their greatest joys has become their Therapeutic Riding Program. Here, they use specially trained horses to assist in therapy for riders of all ages. Many physical, mental, and emotional challenges benefit from the bond created between horses and humans.
