With over seven miles of trails, McDowell Grove gives you tons of kid-friendly options for exploring in Naperville! You will be able to choose from several trails so you can find the one that is best for even the littlest of legs! As you go on your journey, you will be treated to lush wildflowers and towering trees.
83rd Street, Naperville, Illinois 60564
Springbrook Prairie is the ideal trail for younger Naperville kids. As you go along, you are going to see wildlife and colorful flowers, giving you plenty of photo opportunities. The trail itself is two miles of mowed paths with no bikes, so your child can wander a bit if they would like.

Nestled on 13 scenic Naperville acres, Goodrich Woods Loop is a stunning kid-friendly trail that gives you tons to see without ever being overwhelming. The trail is 0.4 miles with only 29 feet of elevation. The historic fireplace is always a favorite landmark!
2417 Greene Road, Naperville, Illinois 60563
If your child is ready to handle a few miles, Greene Valley Loop is a great option! This trail is 2.1 miles and only features 39 feet of elevation, making it a relatively easy adventure for those just starting to test their limits. Plus, the views here are pretty darn great!

Once you have mastered Greene Valley Loop, it’s time to try out Knoch Knolls Park Trail! This one is a little longer, giving you 2.8 miles of kid-friendly trail with about 70 feet of elevation in Naperville. As you wander along, you can cross the reserve with an iron bridge and take a journey through the woods.

I love Springbrook Prairie Trail because it gives you the chance to decide what kind of adventure you want to have. The trail lasts for 6 miles with only 134 feet of elevation, taking you through nature reserves. It’s a loop, but you can always turn around early if you feel like your child needs a break!
